Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abdul Rahman (ranked 515 p4p, 490 weight class) and Manco Capac (ranked 66 p4p, 62 weight class). Capac is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Iggy Pop - The Passenger. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rahman lands with a cross.

It looks like Manco Capac has been cut.
Capac ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rahman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Capac swings for the body but Rahman moves out of range.
Capac takes a swing at Rahman's ribcage but misses.
Rahman throws a hook to the side of Capac's head but Capac sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Capac throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rahman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Capac has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

That was a close second round but I would say that Abdul Rahman will probably get the nod.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Capac throws a strike but Rahman avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Capac makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Capac wants to pass the guard but Rahman is keeping the position.
Capac wants to control from the top but Rahman keeps moving.
Capac is pushing down on Rahman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rahman is fighting to maintain full guard but Capac has managed to sneak the leg through.

Capac is looking for a kimura but Rahman is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Capac to get the leverage.
