Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Talon Cannonier (ranked 2230 p4p, 3523 weight class) and Khamzat Chimaev (ranked 280 p4p, 405 weight class). Chimaev has chosen Katioucha as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

A swing and a miss from Chimaev.
A little feinted left hand from Cannonier on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Cannonier ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chimaev moves away.
Chimaev looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

And Chimaev tries to counter it with a takedown but Cannonier pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Cannonier definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Chimaev decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Chimaev looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Cannonier with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Chimaev has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Cannonier defend it? Chimaev steps over the head and cranks it - Cannonier is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Chimaev!

After winning the bout, Khamzat Chimaev thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
