The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gebhardt takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gebhardt stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mercer.
A nice inside leg kick there by Mercer. That's going to slow Gebhardt down.
Gebhardt misses with an uppercut.
Mercer now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
A slow jab from Mercer misses its intended target.
Gebhardt just misses with a punch to the body.
Mercer moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Mercer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gebhardt.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Gebhardt takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That kick from Gebhardt tenderised Mercer's leg. Mercer is trying to keep his angry face on.
Nice uppercut lands for Mercer. That snapped Gebhardt's head back.

Gebhardt throws a looping overhand right but Mercer ducks down to avoid it.
Gebhardt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mercer moves out of range of the leg kick from Gebhardt.
A left and a right from Mercer both land. Nice combination.

Gebhardt feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mercer sprawling to the canvas! Mercer rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Gebhardt finish him?!

and Gebhardt counters with a big left hand that crumples Mercer! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
