Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Excalam Black (ranked 1984 p4p, 1361 weight class) and Dusty Rhodes (ranked 253 p4p, 178 weight class). Black kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Signe de contradiction. Rhodes is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bury My Bones. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black misses the shot to the body.
Rhodes gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Black blocks a jab.
Rhodes throws a lazy right hand but Black sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rhodes changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Rhodes cracks a nice hook into Black's ribs.
Rhodes connects with a crisp jab.
Dusty Rhodes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rhodes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Black.
Black throws a body shot but no joy.
Rhodes waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Black.

Black tries to keep at a distance but Rhodes has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rhodes stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Rhodes swings wildly with an uppercut but Black uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rhodes is looking for a takedown.
Black blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Black works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Black.
Rhodes misses with the head strike.
Black dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Rhodes drops down looking for an ankle pick but Black pulls his leg out and moves away.
Rhodes throws an overhand right that lands on Black's shoulder, as Black tries to avoid the shot.
Rhodes takes a swing at Black's ribcage but misses.
Black ducks under a wild hook from Rhodes.
Rhodes misses with a two punch combination.
Black walks into a straight right hand from Rhodes.
Black tries to clinch up.
A jab from Rhodes misses.
Rhodes darts in trying to clinch
and Black counters with a straight right hand.
Black takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Excalam Black has been cut.

Rhodes connects with the punch.
Rhodes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Black.
Nice shot lands for Rhodes.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Black tries to move into range but Rhodes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Black is rocked!
Rhodes lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Black up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Rhodes from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Black's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
