Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Rios (ranked 3642 p4p, 2848 weight class) and Micka Slice (ranked 412 p4p, 343 weight class). Slice has chosen Legend as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Micka Slice!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rios blocks a low kick nicely.
Good leg kick by Rios.
Slice will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Some wild striking there from Rios.
Rios lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Slice blocks a jab.
Rios throws a hook to the side of Slice's head but Slice sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Slice lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rios swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Slice counters with a left and a right that stings Rios.
Rios moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Slice throws a head kick that misses
and Rios counters with a one-two to the body.
Rios lands a jab to Slice's midsection.
Slice checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Slice rushes Rios and presses him up against the cage.
Slice jumps guard but Rios stands there with Slice around his waist. Slice gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Slice manages to break the clinch.
Diego Rios is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rios lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Rios closes the distance and lands a one-two.
A head kick misses from Slice.
Rios blocks a head kick by Slice.
Rios lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Slice at a distance.
Rios avoids the head kick by Slice.
A nice leg kick lands there from Rios.
Rios misses with the combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Slice with a lazy takedown attempt
and Rios counters with a stiff right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slice on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rios. Rios obviously looking to wear him down.
Slice swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rios cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Slice is rocked!
Rios throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Slice.
Slice looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Diego Rios has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micka Slice.
Slice throws a nice looking combination but Rios bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rios scores with a jab to the body.
Rios slips a jab and a cross from Slice.
Rios connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Slice's hands.
Slice is still on wobbly legs! Can Rios finish him?
Rios circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rios counters with a crisp right that sends Slice to the canvas! Rios follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

Diego Rios decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
