The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana has his takedown stuffed
and Nickle counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Nickle shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Nickle takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Nickle lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Nickle wants to free his trapped foot but Santana is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Nickle is working for a kimura here but Santana manages to reverse the position and he's now in Nickle's guard.

Nickle is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Santana has his hands clasped together but Nickle extends and breaks Santana's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Nickle.
