Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Sampson (ranked 617 p4p, 819 weight class) and Leonid Zakharov (ranked 91 p4p, 110 weight class). Sampson comes to the cage accompanied by Sunshine (ft. Anthony Hamilton) - Twista . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Sampson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonid Zakharov!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zakharov lands a right hook to the body.
Nice defenses there by Sampson.
Zakharov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sampson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Sampson misses with a hook to the body
enabling Zakharov to counter with a crisp jab.
Sampson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Zakharov misses with a hook. Sampson ducked under it nicely.
Sampson slips a jab from Zakharov.
Sampson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Zakharov. Zakharov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Zakharov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sampson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Zakharov moves out of range of the strikes.
It seemed like Zakharov was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Zakharov misses with a wild body shot.
Zakharov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sampson backs up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sampson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zakharov swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sampson drops Zakharov with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Zakharov looks back up at him and smiles so Sampson waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Zakharov is rocked!

It looks like Leonid Zakharov has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sampson lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Zakharov head around and knocks him out cold! Sampson hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Douglas Sampson!
After winning the bout, Douglas Sampson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
