Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between God Ops (ranked 5035 p4p, 4057 weight class) and Hugh Mungus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, God Ops!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hugh Mungus!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mungus tries to clinch up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mungus.
Mungus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ops sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mungus somewhat.
Ops moves out of range of the body kick from Mungus.
Mungus tries for a takedown but Ops circles away easily

and Ops moves into the clinch.
God Ops has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hugh Mungus.

Ops pulls guard successfully.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ops is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Ops is looking to stand up but Mungus isn't so interested in that idea.
Ops on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ops tries to get out of the position.

Mungus trying to control but Ops is working from the bottom.

Mungus decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Ops, up you get!
Ops blocks a head kick by Mungus.
No joy there for Mungus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ops changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Mungus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Mungus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ops, pushing him back against the cage.
Mungus wants to break free but Ops has control.
Ops tries to land knees in the clinch but Mungus avoids the damage to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Ops jumps guard.
Ops is pulling down on Mungus's head. It's preventing any offense from Mungus, at least for the moment.

Mungus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ops has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mungus has managed to get both his arms back between Ops's legs - danger averted.
Ops keeping moving, preventing Mungus from controlling successfully.

Ops is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mungus trying to control but Ops is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ops manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mungus manages to get himself to full guard.

Mungus being controlled here, momentarily.
Mungus is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ops's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ops postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mungus is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ops, into his guard.

Mungus wanted to stand there but Ops had control of the position.
Mungus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ops is keeping the position for now.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ops seems keen to control Mungus's posture.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

God Ops dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Mungus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Ops manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Ops shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mungus but Mungus pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mungus misses with a takedown attempt - Ops sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Mungus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ops sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mungus somewhat.

Ops swats away the attempt to clinch by Mungus.
Ops throws a body shot but no joy.

Mungus shoots in and bounces Ops off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Ops has his foot on Mungus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mungus works his way back into a safe position though.
Mungus trying to control but Ops is working from the bottom.
Ops looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mungus is one step ahead there.
Mungus postures up.

Mungus wants to control from the top but Ops keeps moving.
Mungus advances position into side control!

Mungus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mungus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ops is trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Mungus stands up and beckons Ops to his feet.
Mungus keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mungus moves in looking to clinch but Ops pushes him off.
Mungus tries to clinch but Ops is having none of it.
Mungus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Mungus tries to close the distance and clinch but Ops swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ops tries for a takedown but Mungus circles away easily
and Mungus counters with a left and a right that stings Ops.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ops leaves Mungus with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Mungus shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Ops pushes Mungus off but Mungus dives into side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mungus trying to control the action but Ops is working from the bottom.
Mungus slows the pace down.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hugh Mungus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Mungus shoots for a double leg takedown but Ops sprawls well. He's pushed Mungus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
God Ops is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ops tries to keep at a distance but Mungus has taken the fight into the clinch.
Ops is pressed up against the cage. Mungus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ops down to the mat. Ops avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ops walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ops throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ops has his takedown stuffed
and Mungus counters with a head kick. That will keep Ops thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ops rushes Mungus and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Mungus pulls guard effortlessly.
Mungus is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ops wants to control but Mungus is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Mungus controlling the pace.
Ops is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Ops might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ops avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mungus.
Ops controlling the position for now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Mungus is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Hugh Mungus has got the better of the ground game so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ops is trying to control but can't.
Mungus not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Ops wants to control but Mungus is keeping busy.
Mungus trying to control from half guard but Ops is working away.
Mungus controlling the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Mungus shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ops defends it nicely.

Mungus misses with a head kick.
Ops swats away the attempt to clinch by Mungus.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mungus wants to sweep but no luck.
Ops is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mungus trying to control the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hugh Mungus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mungus has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
