Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Butler (ranked 5210 p4p, 5077 weight class) and Time To Fight Wright (ranked 171 p4p, 163 weight class). Time To Fight Wright is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jeremy Butler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Time To Fight Wright!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Butler.
Time To Fight Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Butler fails to land the takedown.

Wright shoots in and bounces Butler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Wright passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Butler is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Wright's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Butler tries to roll over but Wright keeps him under control.
Wright wants to pass the guard but Butler is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Wright is trying to work for a kimura but Butler is defending well.
Wright looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Butler is trying to maintain the position but Wright is very close to passing his half guard.
Butler tries to get to full guard but Wright has control of the leg.
Wright content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Wright is looking for a kimura but Butler is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wright to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wright in particular looking to stall.
Butler wants to control but Wright is keeping busy.

Wright is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Butler is just riding it out for now. Wright eventually gives up the hold.
Wright is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wright slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Butler.
Wright stalling.
We've been informed that Wright has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Wright throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wright is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Butler!
Wright can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Butler is looking to escape.
Butler tries to lock up and control but Wright gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Butler is trying to escape the mount.
Butler regains half guard.

Wright is working for a submission of some sort.
Butler keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Butler wants to control but Wright is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Time To Fight Wright dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Wright dives in and grabs Butler's left leg, looking for a takedown. Butler pushes down on Wright's head and hops out.

Butler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wright pinned against the cage. Wright gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Wright.
Butler is trying to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wright goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Butler has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wright but great work by Butler.
Wright is looking for a sweep.

Butler tries for a kimura but Wright is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Butler working away.
Butler wants to stand but Wright has his arm trapped.
Wright is looking to regain half guard here but Butler keeps moving and retains side control.
Wright is not content to let Butler control the position.
Wright struggling a bit here.
Butler tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Butler misses with the ground and pound.
Wright can't do much from the bottom here.
Wright is not content to let Butler control the position.
Wright tries to control but Butler manages to take his back.
Wright is taking damage to the body and head.
Wright has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Butler.
Wright is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Butler working for a choke but Wright is defending well.
Butler has the hooks in. Wright is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Wright manages to reverse the position and now he's in Butler's guard. Nice work there by Wright.
Butler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wright is controlling him.

Butler looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wright passes into side control.
Wright has control of an arm but Butler manages to advance to Wright's back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wright looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Butler is persistently looking for the submission but Wright is defending it well.
Butler lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Wright is keeping busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wright trying to control the action but Butler just sinks the hooks in.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jeremy Butler dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Wright misses with a double jab.
Wright misses with a hook
and Butler counters with a left and a right that stings Wright.
Wright tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Butler was well out of range. Poor timing from Wright.
Wright bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Butler's head backwards.
Wright avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wright stuffs the takedown attempt from Butler. Butler gets slowly back to his feet.

Wright drives through with a takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Butler manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wright's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Butler takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Butler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wright.
Nice sprawl there from Wright as Butler shoots in.
Butler's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wright connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Butler scrambles back to his feet.

Wright throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Butler was covering up waiting for the punch and Wright finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Butler is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Wright presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Butler is trying to pull guard but Wright has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Butler blocks an elbow strike.
Butler is looking for a takedown.
Wright tries for a takedown. No joy.
Wright is trying to break free.
Butler blocks an elbow strike from Wright.
Butler is trying to pull guard but Wright turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Wright manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Wright's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Wright misses with an uppercut.
Butler tries to counter with a takedown but Wright is quick to defend against it.
Butler tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wright manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fighters circling - Wright throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wright throws a series of punches but Butler avoids them all with ease.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Butler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wright pinned against the cage. Wright gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wright changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Wright shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Time To Fight Wright seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Butler swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No joy there for Wright, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Butler throws a quick counter head kick but Wright was just out of range.
Butler shoots in looking for a takedown. Wright tries to sprawl out of it but Butler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wright manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Wright shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Butler is trying to defend but Wright finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Wright prevents Butler from improving his position.

Wright is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Butler doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wright.
Wright has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Butler is looking to improve his position but Wright isn't that keen on the idea.
Wright controlling his opponent.
Butler wants to control but Wright is having none of it.
Wright tries to control but Butler wriggling away.
Butler wants to hold on but Wright pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Time To Fight Wright comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Wright has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
