Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nail Smitterhs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tauno Karvaranne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smitterhs comes into the arena with Lady GaGa - Poker Face blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Tauno Karvaranne enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smitterhs stuffs the takedown attempt from Karvaranne. Karvaranne gets slowly back to his feet.
Smitterhs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Karvaranne moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Karvaranne shoots in for a double leg but Smitterhs sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Smitterhs stuffs the takedown.
Nail Smitterhs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tauno Karvaranne.
Karvaranne moves in looking to clinch but Smitterhs pushes him off.
Karvaranne looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Smitterhs has taken the fight to the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Smitterhs just misses with a elbow thrown towards Karvaranne's brow.

Smitterhs is breathing heavily.
Karvaranne throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smitterhs works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Karvaranne thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Smitterhs is looking for a triangle but Karvaranne pushes his legs off easily.
Smitterhs had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Karvaranne is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Smitterhs Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Karvaranne's back instead.
Smitterhs doesn't have the hooks in and Karvaranne manages to turn into his guard.
Karvaranne drops back looking for a leg! Smitterhs is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smitterhs manages to kick Karvaranne off! Karvaranne jumps back into Smitterhs's guard.
Karvaranne has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Karvaranne thows a big elbow that misses.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Karvaranne trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Karvaranne drops back, looking for a kneebar! Smitterhs looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Smitterhs looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Smitterhs!
Smitterhs lands a decent elbow from side control.
Smitterhs lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Karvaranne manages to work his way to half guard, despite Smitterhs's best efforts.

Karvaranne works his way to full guard. Good work.
Smitterhs drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smitterhs jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karvaranne escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Smitterhs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Smitterhs distracts Karvaranne with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Smitterhs makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Karvaranne looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Karvaranne throws his legs up looking for a submission but Smitterhs uses it to pass to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Karvaranne sneaks back into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Karvaranne is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Smitterhs is tapping! Great win for Karvaranne!
