Russel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Space Lord by Monster Magnet. Tyson Jones acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russel throws a head kick that misses.
Jones gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Russel misses with a head kick.
Russel blocks a jab.
Russel displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Jones throws a sloppy head kick and Russel moves out of range easily.

Jones scores with a crisp jab that stopped Russel in his tracks.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Russel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Russel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jones is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Russel is not content to let Jones control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Russel wants to sweep but Jones has passed to side control!

Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Russel as he jumps to the side.

Bertram Russel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Jones.

Russel fakes the leg kick and cracks Jones in the body.
Russel throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Russel connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Russel keeps Jones at a distance using the push kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Russel scores with the left hand. Jones knows he should have avoided that one.
A telegraphed right hand from Jones misses the target.
Russel plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Jones is rocked!
A head kick by Russel - that's a beauty! Jones is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Russel can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bertram Russel!
