Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between God Ops (ranked 5674 p4p, 3901 weight class) and Hugh Mungus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, God Ops!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hugh Mungus!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mungus slaps away a takedown attempt from Ops, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Mungus moves into the clinch.

Ops has clasped his hands together around Mungus's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Mungus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ops wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Mungus regains half guard.
Mungus wants to improve his position but Ops is controlling well.

Ops is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ops throwing shots but Mungus is blocking nicely.

Mungus wants to control but Ops is keeping busy.
Mungus wants to get back to full guard.
Ops blocks the strikes from Mungus.
Ops is taking a breather. Mungus says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ops is looking to take a break and control but Mungus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mungus misses with some strikes from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mungus displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ops.

Mungus clinches with his opponent.
Mungus stops a takedown attempt from Ops.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for God Ops. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ops is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Mungus wants to get back to striking at distance but Ops won't allow it.

Ops breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mungus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Ops gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mungus.
Ops wants a takedown but no success here.
Mungus tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ops just stands there and leans against the cage.

Ops gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mungus regains guard.

Mungus is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Ops trying to control the position from guard on top but Mungus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mungus tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ops might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mungus preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Ops passes into half guard.
Mungus wants to improve his position but Ops is controlling well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mungus has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ops is working away from the top position though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that God Ops will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Mungus shoots for a takedown but Ops saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mungus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ops counters with a head kick. That will keep Mungus thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Mungus misses with a body kick.
Ops is looking for a counter combo.
Ops throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mungus steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Ops.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ops is defended easily by Mungus.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ops closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Mungus.

Ops tries to pull guard but Mungus holds him up against the cage and eventually Ops drops back down to his feet.
Mungus has Ops pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ops manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
God Ops has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hugh Mungus.
Mungus goes for a takedown attempt but Ops pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Ops holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Mungus tries to pull guard but Ops holds him up against the cage and eventually Mungus drops back down to his feet.

Ops's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mungus fails with a takedown attempt.
Ops is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mungus can do to turn this around?
Mungus is breathing heavily.

Ops throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mungus tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ops is in Mungus's guard.

Ops stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Mungus shoots in for a takedown but Ops shows good takedown defense.
Ops drops down looking for a counter takedown but Mungus sprawls and moves away.
Ops shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mungus defends it nicely.
Mungus stuffs the takedown attempt from Ops. Ops gets slowly back to his feet.
God Ops is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ops looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mungus throws a counter combo.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mungus fails with the takedown

and Ops counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ops.

Mungus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ops looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Mungus fails with the takedown.
That kick from Ops tenderised Mungus's leg. Mungus is trying to keep his angry face on.
No joy there for Mungus, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mungus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mungus throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ops.
Ops fails with the takedown.
Mungus tries to counter with a clinch but Ops shakes him off and moves away.

Mungus shoots in and bounces Ops off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ops is trying to keep Mungus in close.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

God Ops dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Ops jumps guard and drags Mungus to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Mungus is pushing down on Ops's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ops is fighting to maintain full guard but Mungus has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mungus is pressing down on Ops's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ops is holding on for now.

Mungus is working for a kimura but Ops is defending it quite comfortably.
Mungus scoring with strikes to the body and head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ops is trying to maintain the position but Mungus is very close to passing his half guard.
Mungus thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mungus moves into full mount! Ops won't be happy about that!
Mungus pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

It looks like God Ops has been cut.
Mungus can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ops is looking to escape.

Mungus is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ops has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ops!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ops has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mungus is proving hard to escape from.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mungus is on top in guard.

Ops keeping moving, preventing Mungus from controlling successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mungus is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Ops looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mungus passes into side control.
God Ops is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Mungus stands up and beckons Ops to his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hugh Mungus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ops has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
