Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Remi Chavaski (ranked 898 p4p, 479 weight class) and Grigoriy Petrov (ranked 129 p4p, 75 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Remi Chavaski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 3, fighting out of New York, Grigoriy Petrov!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Topper Green and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chavaski changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Petrov connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Petrov misses with a looping left.
Chavaski drops down looking for a counter takedown but Petrov sprawls and moves away.
Petrov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chavaski.
Donk. Petrov catches Chavaski right on the button with a cross.
Petrov looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Chavaski has been working on his balance at Blaze Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Petrov.
Petrov slaps away a takedown attempt from Chavaski, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Petrov fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chavaski has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Chavaski is trying to drag Petrov to the mat but Petrov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Petrov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
We've been informed that Petrov has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Petrov's jab looks to have found its range, popping Chavaski under the eye.
Petrov buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Petrov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Petrov lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Petrov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chavaski. That did some damage!

Petrov is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Chavaski had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Petrov moves into the clinch successfully.
Chavaski has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Petrov is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Chavaski is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Petrov is just riding it out for now. Chavaski eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Chavaski drops back, looking for a kneebar! Petrov looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Petrov looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Petrov!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

I've got Petrov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
