The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Arkinson. Those never looked like landing.
As Arkinson looks to move away, Hernandez throws a big counter combo but Arkinson just gets out of the way.
Arkinson looks to land a left hand but Hernandez moved out of range nicely.
An attempted straight right counter from Hernandez misses the target.
Arkinson throws a right hand that Hernandez ducks under and follows up with a left that Hernandez also avoids with ease.
Hernandez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Arkinson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

It looks like Francisco Hernandez has been cut.

Hernandez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Hernandez postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Hernandez with the ground and pound but Arkinson regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Hernandez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Arkinson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Arkinson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hernandez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
