Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sonny Day!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joey Chandler!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler lands with a shot to the body.
Day ducks under a wild hook from Chandler.
Chandler throws an overhand right that lands on Day's shoulder, as Day tries to avoid the shot.
Chandler moves away from the strike by Day.
Day throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chandler sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Day moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Joey Chandler has been cut.
Day jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chandler dips to his left and cracks Day with an uppercut!
Day misses with a series of wild punches.
Day gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chandler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Day swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chandler with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Chandler cracks Day with a solid left hand.
Day working a defensive guard here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chandler throws a big elbow that misses.
We've been hearing good reports from Day's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Chandler chips away with some ground and pound.
Day is trying to control the position but Chandler postures up.
Chandler keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Day's head.
Chandler in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Day keeping moving, preventing Chandler from controlling successfully.
Chandler is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Chandler lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Chandler stands up over Day, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Chandler's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Chandler pushes down on Day's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Chandler not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Chandler lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Day has hold of Chandler's hands but Chandler slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Day is rocked!
Chandler slips a nice elbow through Day's hands, connecting with Day's forehead.
Oh Day is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chandler lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Day! More strikes land and this one is all over! Chandler jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joey Chandler!
A relieved looking Joey Chandler thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
