PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Law (ranked 1374 p4p, 980 weight class) and Aonghus Mormaer (ranked 179 p4p, 132 weight class). Law comes into the arena with Country Boy Can Survive blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Law or perhaps it was just good defense by Mormaer, which made it look bad.
Mormaer misses with a straight left.

Mormaer forces Law back against the cage and clinches.

Law wants the takedown. Mormaer is fighting it off but Law persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Mormaer's guard against the cage.

We've been hearing good reports from Law's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Law drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Law jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mormaer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Law bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mormaer's guard.
