Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boril Jackson (ranked 4028 p4p, 4030 weight class) and Sam Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sam Cole!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cole has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jackson is working away from the top position though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cole's guard.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Cole really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Cole pushes Jackson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jackson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Jackson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cole manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Jackson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Cole!

Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Cole tries to control Jackson's body but Jackson pushes him off. Cole squirms to his side and now Jackson has his back!

The referee is taking a good look at Cole as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Jackson!

Jackson has Cole flattened out and is raining down punches.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Cole throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Boril Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jackson moves into the clinch.
Jackson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cole walks away with a smile on his face. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cole won't be happy with that.

Jackson has control of Cole's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cole regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jackson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

You get the feeling that Cole really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
