Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Professor Ozu (ranked 5628 p4p, 5944 weight class) and Jason Kendrick (ranked 529 p4p, 551 weight class). Professor Ozu had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. On his way into the cage it seems that Professor Ozu has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Professor Ozu seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jason Kendrick!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Ozu doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kendrick counters with a nice right hand that sends Ozu toppling to the canvas! Ozu scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Kendrick finish him?!
Ozu is rocked!
It looks like Professor Ozu has been cut.
Ozu clinches up against the cage.
Ozu tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Ozu creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

It looks like Jason Kendrick has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kendrick keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ozu's efforts to push away.
Ozu lands a nice knee to the body.
Kendrick doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kendrick has had enough of the clinch but Ozu keeps him there for the moment.
Ozu breaks from the clinch.
Ozu misses with a takedown attempt
and Kendrick counters with a nice right hand that sends Ozu toppling to the canvas! Ozu scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Kendrick finish him?!
Oh Ozu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

A head kick misses from Ozu.
Ozu is breathing heavily.
An inside leg kick lands from Ozu.
Ozu seems to have got his legs back now.
Ozu lands a head kick!
Ozu wants to clinch.

Ozu is looking to clinch but Kendrick is avoiding it.
Kendrick appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Professor Ozu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ozu looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kendrick! But no joy.
Kendrick circles away from the clinch attempt
and Kendrick makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ozu fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kendrick checks it well.

Ozu is looking to clinch.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Ozu moves to clinch but Kendrick breaks away
and Kendrick counters with a crisp right hand that drops Ozu! Kendrick lets Ozu back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Ozu misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kendrick stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Professor Ozu. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kendrick avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ozu misses with the body kick
and Kendrick counters with a right hand from hell and Ozu is out cold! A vicious knockout!
