Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zima Voin (ranked 3799 p4p, 2533 weight class) and Maverick Syndal (ranked 483 p4p, 352 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zima Voin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Maverick Syndal!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voin has Syndal up against the cage in a clinch.

Voin tries to clinch but Syndal moves away
and Syndal counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Zima Voin has been cut.
Syndal bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Syndal throws out a counter right but Voin avoids it with no problem.
Voin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Voin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Voin lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Voin.

Voin is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Syndal pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Voin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Syndal knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zima Voin will probably get the nod.

Voin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Voin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Syndal swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Voin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A relieved looking Zima Voin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
