Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seamus O Brien (ranked 327 p4p, 736 weight class) and Brian Dean (ranked 42 p4p, 103 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think O Brien might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pantera - The Great Southern Trendkill. Seamus O Brien could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Brian Dean's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean lands a really nice looking cross but O Brien seems unphased.
Brian Dean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dean misses with a looping right.

Dean lands a big right hand that sends O Brien crashing to the mat! Dean stays standing though and waves O Brien back to his feet!

Dean throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
O Brien drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
The fighters circling - O Brien throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Dean lands a big uppercut and O Brien crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but O Brien looks OK. Dean waves O Brien back to his feet!
O Brien pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Dean loads up on a big right hand but O Brien slips the punch.

Dean throws a hook to the side of O Brien's head but O Brien sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Dean is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! O Brien had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Dean fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. O Brien looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

and Dean cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

O Brien throws a series of punches but Dean avoids them all with ease.

and Dean counters with a big right hand! Oh O Brien is in trouble here! Dean follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
