The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Kersikov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hartwell sprawls well initially but Kersikov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hartwell felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Kersikov.
