Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bartholomew Slice (ranked 2742 p4p, 2973 weight class) and Sime Soldic (ranked 237 p4p, 251 weight class). Sime Soldic has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bartholomew Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sime Soldic!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Slice closes the distance and pushes Soldic back into the cage.
Soldic wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Slice has him pressed against the cage.
Soldic is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Soldic blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Soldic pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Slice smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Slice has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Doom's Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Nice uppercut lands for Slice. That snapped Soldic's head back.
A punch lands to the side of Soldic 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Slice cracks Soldic with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

A little feinted left hand from Slice on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Slice lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Slice ducks under a wild hook from Soldic.
Good work by Slice as he checks the leg kick.
Slice was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Slice will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fighters circle momentarily. Soldic darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Slice is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Soldic asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Slice might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Slice has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Soldic is working away from the top position though.
