The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Ferguson. Rotiz does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ferguson connects with a single shot there.

It looks like Toti Rotiz has been cut.
Ferguson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ferguson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rotiz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Niall Ferguson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ferguson throws a combination. Rotiz tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Rotiz on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Ferguson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rotiz.

Rotiz lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Rotiz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rotiz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Rotiz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ferguson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rotiz backs up against the cage.
Ferguson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Rotiz momentarily.

Toti Rotiz's cut is getting worse.
Ferguson throws a lazy right hand but Rotiz sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rotiz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Ferguson.

Ferguson loads up on a big right hand but Rotiz slips the punch.
Rotiz throws a big counter combination but Ferguson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Ferguson lands a jab to Rotiz's midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ferguson lands a left and a right that send Rotiz crashing to the mat, dazed. Ferguson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Ferguson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rotiz stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Jeez, Toti Rotiz's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Toti Rotiz's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
