PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Balal Lama (ranked 692 p4p, 1856 weight class) and Fedor Mazepin (ranked 98 p4p, 220 weight class). Mazepin has chosen boom as his entrance music. Fedor Mazepin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Balal Lama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 30 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fedor Mazepin!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lama fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mazepin, pushing him back against the cage.

Lama has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mazepin clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Lama controlling the position well here. Mazepin rolled but Lama kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

I really don't envy Mazepin right now.

Mazepin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lama is fending him off so far but Mazepin persists. Nope, Lama circles away and we're back to standing.

Lama closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
