The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menezes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bison looks to score with a jab to the body but Menezes is just out of range.
Menezes lands with an uppercut that bounces Bison off the cage and back into range.
Menezes misses with a jab, cross combination.

Menezes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Menezes lands with a good body shot.
Menezes tries to bum rush Bison with a series of wild strikes but Bison uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Menezes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Menezes swings for the body but Bison moves out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bison throws a right hand that Menezes ducks under and follows up with a left that Menezes also avoids with ease.
Bison throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Menezes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Bison has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Bison ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Menezes moves away.
Bison scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Fabricio Menezes has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bison is pawing at Menezes, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Menezes's nose. Menezes is badly hurt! Bison pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Menezes tries desperately to hold on but Bison is relentless in his assault! As Menezes receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Bison away and this one is in the books!
