Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jamal Kinston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, William Williamson!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williamson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kinston manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've been hearing reports that Kinston has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Williamson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kinston.
Williamson tries to move into range but Kinston moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Williamson tries to sprawl but Kinston drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kinston seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kinston is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Williamson tries to lock up and control but Kinston gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kinston takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kinston trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Kinston avoids the attempt from Williamson to control.
Kinston wants to take Williamson's back here but Williamson is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Kinston looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Kinston tries to control but Williamson wriggling away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Kinston goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Williamson is on top in guard.
Kinston is trying to hold Williamson in close to prevent damage but Williamson has managed to pass into half guard.
Kinston wants to control but Williamson is keeping busy.
Kinston keeping control of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Williamson is trying to control the action in half guard but Kinston is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Kinston looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kinston wants to improve his position but Williamson is controlling well.
Williamson wants to take a breather but Kinston is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kinston has his hands clasped together around Williamson's back. He's all about the action.
Kinston wants to get back to full guard.
Kinston has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williamson is working away from the top position though.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kinston works his way to full guard. Good work.

Williamson wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Kinston's closed guard. He's half up but Kinston has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Kinston pivots and extends the arm, Williamson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Kinston! Well done that man!
