Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kova Luu (ranked 2527 p4p, 3264 weight class) and Evan MacMillan (ranked 273 p4p, 340 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
MacMillan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

MacMillan drops back, looking for a kneebar! Luu looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Luu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Luu!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
