These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Ruben Flijers!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pacha closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Pacha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pacha throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
We've been told by Pacha's head coaches at Roosters Coop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Flijers throws a body punch but Pacha moves out of range.
A counter left hand to the body from Pacha misses its target.
Flijers throws a head kick that misses
and Pacha counters with a stiff right hand.
Flijers dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pacha lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Pacha keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Flijers's coach down at Julians Sports Bar & Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Flijers's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Flijers throws a big shot that misses.
Flijers throws a body shot but no joy.
Flijers throws out a loose jab but Pacha uses good head movement to avoid it.
Flijers connects with a body shot that sends Pacha's belly button to the back.
Flijers walks into a stiff left hand from Pacha.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Flijers waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pacha.
Flijers wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Flijers works Pacha's body with a nice hook.

Pacha pushes Flijers up against the cage in a clinch.
Flijers trying to stall but Pacha improves his position.

Pacha's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pacha displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Flijers throws a right hand that misses
and Flijers takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pacha avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Flijers throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Flijers throws a big shot that misses.
Pacha misses with a few strikes there.
Ruben Flijers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flijers jabs Pacha to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Pacha lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Pacha lands a big head kick that sends Flijers to the canvas! Pacha follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hanan Pacha!
