Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Salazar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miguel Salazar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tommy Page!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Page fails with a takedown attempt.

Salazar moves into the clinch.

Salazar has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Page is trying to keep an underhook but Salazar manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Salazar in particular looking to stall.
Page tries to get to full guard but Salazar has control of the leg.

Salazar is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Page is just riding it out for now. Salazar eventually gives up the hold.

Salazar seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Page for as long as he can get away with.

Salazar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Salazar throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Page's waist but Page gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salazar off to one side.

Salazar looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Page has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Salazar is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Salazar darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Salazar shoots for a takedown but Page saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Page looks for a takedown but Salazar sprawls well.
Salazar shoots for a double leg takedown but Page sprawls well. He's pushed Salazar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Page throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Page really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Salazar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Page will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Salazar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Page's guard.
Page is trying to escape back to his feet but Salazar uses the scramble to pass into side control.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Salazar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Page tries to avoid it but Salazar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Page to the ground. Page escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Salazar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Salazar, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
