Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucretinaus Olcinius (ranked 1838 p4p, 1819 weight class) and Amadeo Thevenet (ranked 201 p4p, 199 weight class). Olcinius comes to the cage accompanied by Hired Gun. Amadeo Thevenet has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucretinaus Olcinius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Amadeo Thevenet!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thevenet closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Olcinius did well to prevent Thevenet getting side control.

Olcinius throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Olcinius has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Thevenet content to control rather than advance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Olcinius wants to get up but he can't break Thevenet's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Thevenet can do anything to dispel that myth.
Thevenet pulls Olcinius in close to his closed guard and prevents Olcinius from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Olcinius tries to close the distance and clinch but Thevenet swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Thevenet looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Olcinius is fending him off so far but Thevenet persists. Nope, Olcinius circles away and we're back to standing.

Thevenet feints and as Olcinius raises his hands in defense, Thevenet changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Thevenet really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Olcinius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Olcinius throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Thevenet felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Thevenet shoots in looking for a takedown. Olcinius tries to sprawl out of it but Thevenet keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Olcinius manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Thevenet fails to land the takedown.
Olcinius tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Thevenet manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Thevenet tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Olcinius defends well and Thevenet ends up having to push Olcinius into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Lucretinaus Olcinius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amadeo Thevenet.
Olcinius lands with an overhand left.
Thevenet closes the distance and clinches up with Olcinius, looking for a takedown. Thevenet pushes Olcinius against the cage but Olcinius circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lucretinaus Olcinius is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Thevenet is breathing heavily.
Thevenet tries for a takedown but Olcinius sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Thevenet takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Olcinius scores with a one two! Thevenet had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Olcinius looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Thevenet closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Thevenet lands in his opponent's guard.

A looping hook to the body misses from Thevenet. Olcinius does a little dance to reset his feet.
Olcinius leaves Thevenet with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Thevenet throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Olcinius's waist but Olcinius gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Thevenet off to one side.
Olcinius quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Lucretinaus Olcinius has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amadeo Thevenet.
Thevenet shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Olcinius makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Thevenet takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Thevenet has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Olcinius.
Thevenet shoots in for a takedown but Olcinius shows good takedown defense.
Olcinius seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Olcinius feints and then cracks Thevenet's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Thevenet down.
Thevenet swats away the attempt to clinch by Olcinius.
Thevenet throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Olcinius was covering up waiting for the punch and Thevenet finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lucretinaus Olcinius.
I think Olcinius has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
