PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abdullah Zaire (ranked 2793 p4p, 2188 weight class) and Ajax Jacker (ranked 101 p4p, 85 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jacker closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Zaire quickly recovers to half guard.
Jacker slips a nice elbow through Zaire's hands, connecting with Zaire's forehead.

Jacker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zaire is just riding it out for now. Jacker eventually gives up the hold.

Jacker lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Jacker is just content to waste time from the top position. Zaire takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Jacker postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Zaire is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jacker, into his guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jacker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zaire's guard.

Jacker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Jacker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Zaire takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Zaire tries to bench press Jacker off him but Jacker keeps the position.
Jacker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zaire keeps working.

Zaire definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Zaire sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Jacker winds up and cracks Zaire with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Jacker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Zaire is rocked!
Jacker uses his free foot to push down on Zaire's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zaire.
Oh Zaire is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
