Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Bova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and marcus davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bova might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I came to bring the pain!. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bova shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bova showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bova passes into side control, despite davies's attempt to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if davies can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bova is looking to take a break and control but davies is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

davies lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

davies throws a nice looking combination but Bova bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

davies Rushes Bova and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Bova is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. davies Piles on the pressure and Bova crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
