PBP Commentary

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zwinner has a takedown stuffed.
Stones is looking to clinch but Zwinner is avoiding it.
Zwinner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Stones swivels and escapes.
A punch lands to the side of Zwinner 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Stones ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Stones connects with a right hand. Zwinner shakes it off.
Stones has a takedown stuffed.
Stones listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Stones lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Zwinner at a distance.
Stones cracks Zwinner with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Zwinner wants to clinch.
Nice uppercut there from Stones.
Zwinner is looking to clinch.
Stones lands with an overhand left.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Zwinner moves in looking to clinch but Stones pushes him off.

Zwinner shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stones is trying to defend but Zwinner finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Stones is trying to escape back to his feet but Zwinner uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Stones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zwinner avoids it really well and circles away.

Zwinner is breathing heavily.

Stones bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Stones decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Stones clobbers Zwinner with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Left hook, right uppercut from Stones.
Stones scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Stones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Stones is looking to chop away at Zwinner's legs.
Zwinner tries to clinch there but Stones circles away.
Stones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zwinner avoids it really well and circles away.
Stones misses with a takedown attempt - Zwinner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Zwinner decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Zwinner wants to pass the guard but Stones is defending well.
Stones tries to kick Zwinner off but Zwinner keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Zwinner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stones knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Stones is trying to stand back up but Zwinner is controlling him

Stones is refusing to be controlled, as Zwinner sits in half guard.
Stones is trying to stand back up but Zwinner is controlling him

Zwinner is working for a submission of some sort.
Zwinner looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Stones dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Good exchange - Stones coming out on top.
Stones keeps the fight on the outside.
Stones smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Stones goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Zwinner fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Stones cracks Zwinner with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Zwinner looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Stones scores with the left hand. Zwinner knows he should have avoided that one.
Left hook, right uppercut from Stones.
Stones connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Zwinner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Stones works the jab nicely.
Stones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zwinner has time to react.
Zwinner takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Stones lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Stones.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stones connects with a good right hand that stumbles Zwinner. Zwinner circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Dforg Zwinner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Good exchange - Stones coming out on top.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Stones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Zwinner has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


Zwinner is rocked!
Stones throws a pinpoint strike between Zwinner's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Zwinner crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Stones scores a great knockout victory!
