PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pinero Chai (ranked 1806 p4p, 4241 weight class) and Ono Kuronoa (ranked 246 p4p, 472 weight class). Chai comes to the cage accompanied by Styles P - Off The Ghost. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 3, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pinero Chai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ono Kuronoa!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuronoa takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Chai throws a hook to the side of Kuronoa's head but Kuronoa sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Chai throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kuronoa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Chai lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Chai pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kuronoa tries to counter with a clinch but Chai shakes him off and moves away.

Chai has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chai, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
