The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demikovic tries to work over Pewter's front leg with a kick but Pewter checks it.
Pewter lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pewter.
It looks like Nicolai Demikovic has been cut.
Pewter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Pewter swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Demikovic throws a head kick but Pewter moves out of range.
Demikovic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pewter paws at him with a jab and circles away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Demikovic throws and elbow that misses. Pewter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Demikovic's guard. Nice move by Pewter!

Demikovic fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Pewter sprawls well initially but Demikovic persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
