Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donny Jay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Wiener!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay lands a nice hook to Wiener's body. Wiener takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jay has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wiener.
Wiener avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jay misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wiener thumps Jay with a low kick.
Wiener misses with a head kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Jay misses its target.
Jay throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Wiener raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Wiener throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Jay counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Wiener tries to kick Jay off but Jay keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Wiener tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Jay manages to move to mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wiener is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jay thowing shots but they're missing.
You get the feeling that Wiener really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Wiener really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jay. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Jay goes for an armbar but Wiener turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Wiener.

Wiener decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Wiener avoids the body shot from Jay.
Wiener throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Walter Wiener is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jay throws a big shot that misses.
Wiener looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Jay attempts a counter takedown but Wiener avoids it well and moves away.
Jay takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Wiener displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jay throws out the jab.

Sloppy strikes from Jay. Those never looked like landing.
Jay looks to land a combination but Wiener avoids it well.
Wiener throws a fast counter high kick but Jay manages to duck under it in time.
Jay wants to clinch up but Wiener keeps it at a distance.
Jay looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wiener follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Jay fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Wiener is out of range.

and Jay counters with a shoot takedown. Wiener fights it but they end up in guard.
Wiener keeping full guard, as Jay tries to pass.
Wiener is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Jay definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wiener is wriggling around but Jay manages to pass to half guard.
Wiener is looking to escape.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Donny Jay dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Wiener tries a head kick but it misses.
Jay throws a big counter combination but Wiener scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Wiener. Jay shrugs it off though.
Jay connects with a nice looking jab.
A nice leg kick from Wiener, right into the meat of the thigh.
Wiener blocks a jab.
Jay uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wiener.
Jay throws a big shot that misses.
Despite the aggression on Wiener's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jay throws a hook but Wiener avoids it easily.
We've been informed that Wiener has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Some bone on bone action there as Jay checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Jay throws the left hand but Wiener avoids the punch easily.
Wiener keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jay.
Wiener replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Jay blocks it well.

Jay misses with a low kick.
Wiener throws a fast counter high kick but Jay manages to duck under it in time.
Jay swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wiener.
Donny Jay is winning the standup battle so far.
The fighters circling - Jay throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wiener tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wiener is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jay misses with a wild body shot.
Jay moves out of range as Wiener throws a body kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jay looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Wiener scores with a kick to the midsection.

Wiener ducks under a wild hook from Jay.
Wiener punishes Jay's body with a nice straight punch.
Jay darts in trying to clinch
and Wiener finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Jay moves into the clinch.

Wiener pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Donny Jay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A head kick from Wiener lands but Jay takes it in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jay throws a body shot but no joy.
Wiener takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Jay thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jay moves in looking to clinch but Wiener pushes him off.
Wiener avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jay blocks the body kick.

Jay closes the distance and clinches.
Wiener is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jay is keeping busy.

Wiener pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jay throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wiener counters with a body kick.
Wiener misses with a head kick.
Wiener misses with a low kick.
As Wiener looks to move away, Jay throws a big counter combo but Wiener just gets out of the way.

Wiener delivers a nice body kick.
Wiener lands a front kick.
Jay doesn't manage to clinch there - Wiener circles away.
Wiener goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Jay fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wiener has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Jay is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wiener's half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wiener is trying to stand.
Wiener scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jay manages to mount him!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Walter Wiener will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Jay's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Wiener tries to land a front kick but Jay steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Jay decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Jay prevents Wiener from standing back up.
Jay wants to take a breather but Wiener is having none of it.
Wiener looks like he's trying to stand up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wiener is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wiener looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Jay scores with a takedown into Wiener's guard.
Wiener is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jay is controlling him.

Wiener is looking to stand up but Jay isn't so interested in that idea.
Wiener is looking to stand back up but Jay counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wiener.

Wiener wants to get back to his feet.
Jay is keen to just control but Wiener is a slippery customer.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Jay moves into the clinch.
Jay misses with a short punch on the inside.

Jay misses with a hook to the ribs.

Wiener breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jay has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Wiener.

Jay drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wiener wants to stand and escape but Jay is having none of it.
Jay slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jay stops Wiener from standing up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Wiener throws a front kick that sends Jay stumbling back into the cage.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Wiener.
Jay throws a shot from downtown. Wiener moves away and avoids it.
Wiener is trying to counter with his kicks.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jay tries to clinch but Wiener is having none of it.
Jay lands a right hook to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Donny Jay showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Jay has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Donny Jay spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
