The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salad wants to clinch up but Tanev keeps it at a distance.
Tanev changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Tanev has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Salad after a bit of a struggle.

Let's hope that Tanev has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like Tanev might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Branimir Tanev spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
