The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horowitz throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Gonzo Souza has been cut.

Horowitz scores with a jab to the head.

Horowitz leaves Souza with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Horowitz loads up on a big right hand but Souza slips the punch.
Horowitz throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Souza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Souza gets caught flat footed, as Horowitz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Souza is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Horowitz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Horowitz's back!
