The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maestre throws a series of strikes that have Nti backpedaling.

Maestre is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nti controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maestre is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nti defends well.

Maestre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nti doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nti manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Nti stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Maestre swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kwame Nti seems to be getting the better of the standup.

A close second round but Kwame Nti will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
More stalling from Nti.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Luis Maestre.
Well Nti has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
