The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Joe blocks the low kick.
Claudius jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Joe looks to land a combination but Claudius avoids it well.
Claudius looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Claudius avoids the head kick by Joe.
Joe fails with a takedown attempt.
Claudius takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Claudius throws a low kick but it's checked well by Joe.
Claudius lands a nice looking kick to the body. Joe takes a step back to recover.
Joe lands a nice leg kick that just misses Claudius's sensitive parts.
Claudius throws a leg kick that is checked
and Joe counters with a two punch combo.

Claudius looks gassed!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A low kick from Claudius is predictable there

and Joe counters with a series of strikes that sends Claudius to the canvas! Joe follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!

Claudius is rocked!

Joe gets to his feet. Claudius looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Claudius is still on wobbly legs! Can Joe finish him?
Joe fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Joe ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Claudius misses with a hook

and Joe counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Claudius is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Joe is controlling him.
Claudius seems to have recovered his senses.

Joe stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Claudius throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Joe counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Claudius is lucky that one didn't land flush.

It looks like Tiberius Claudius has been cut.
Joe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Average Joe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A slapping leg kick lands for Claudius.
Claudius throws a body kick the misses
and Joe counters with a one-two to the body.
Tiberius Claudius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joe cracks the inside of Claudius's front leg.
A shot to de liver by Joe. Beautiful body shot.
Joe lands a brutal head kick. Claudius looks out on his feet and Joe throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
