Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zheko Melondov (ranked 140 p4p, 233 weight class) and Dimitri Svyatogor (ranked 9 p4p, 12 weight class). Melondov comes to the cage accompanied by Exploration of Space by Cosmic Gate. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svyatogor throws a good cross that connects.
Svyatogor ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Melondov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Svyatogor.
Melondov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Melondov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Melondov. Svyatogor does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jab, jab by Svyatogor - just one landing.
A punch lands to the side of Svyatogor 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Melondov misses with a hook.
Melondov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Svyatogor scores with a crisp jab that stopped Melondov in his tracks.

Melondov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Svyatogor on the side of the head.
Svyatogor throws a jab but it's blocked by Melondov.
Svyatogor uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Melondov.
Svyatogor swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Melondov scores with a shot to the body.
Svyatogor has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Melondov cracks Svyatogor with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Svyatogor tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Melondov pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Svyatogor is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

An out of breath Zheko Melondov thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
