The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Abdullah shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Oneil is trying to defend but Abdullah finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Oneil has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Abdullah looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Oneil with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Oneil has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Abdullah . Oh but Oneil has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Abdullah goes limp - he's gone! Oneil jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
