PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rikiya Goromaru (ranked 2916 p4p, 1421 weight class) and ReaperLord Tyberos (ranked 264 p4p, 127 weight class). Tyberos has chosen Today We Hunt! as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, ReaperLord Tyberos!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyberos throws a lazy uppercut
and Goromaru counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Goromaru moves into range and clinches up with Tyberos.
Tyberos is working Goromaru over against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tyberos has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Tyberos lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Goromaru.
Goromaru goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tyberos prevents it.

Goromaru is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tyberos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Goromaru to the mat. Goromaru regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Goromaru escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tyberos gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Goromaru is trying to stick to Tyberos's back but Tyberos is turning into Goromaru. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Goromaru's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Tyberos.

Tyberos scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Goromaru is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Tyberos can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

After winning the bout, ReaperLord Tyberos thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
