Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grady Bronze (ranked 25038 p4p, 4448 weight class) and Jett Fletcher (ranked 629 p4p, 523 weight class). Fletcher is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Can’t Hold Us by Macklemore. Jett Fletcher looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grady Bronze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jett Fletcher!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Fletcher lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bronze has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bronze and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Bronze stuffs the takedown attempt from Fletcher. Fletcher gets slowly back to his feet.
Bronze half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Fletcher throws a leg kick

and Bronze decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fletcher's guard.
Bronze might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Bronze scoring with some ground and pound.
Bronze throws a big right hand that misses.
Bronze is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bronze tries to free his leg and advance position but Fletcher is retaining full guard.
Bronze makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bronze is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Bronze seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Fletcher for as long as he can get away with.
Bronze is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bronze slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fletcher bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bronze's guard.


Bronze throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Fletcher escapes and throws Bronze's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Fletcher looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Bronze is avoiding damage well.
Bronze tries to buck Fletcher off but Fletcher is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bronze struggling a bit here.
Bronze gets back to half guard.
Bronze is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Triumph Over Fear, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Bronze gets back to full guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bronze holds on and takes a little breather.
Fletcher wants to pass the guard but Bronze is keeping the position.
Fletcher stopping the sweep attempt from Bronze.

Bronze escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fletcher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bronze has his foot on Fletcher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fletcher works his way back into a safe position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bronze managing to control the position.
Bronze on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bronze tries to get out of the position.

Fletcher stands up and waves to Bronze to follow him.
Bronze misses with a body shot.
Fletcher throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bronze.
Bronze looks to score with a jab to the body but Fletcher is just out of range.
Bronze slaps away a takedown attempt from Fletcher, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bronze misses with a looping left.
Fletcher uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bronze.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Grady Bronze dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bronze tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Fletcher was well out of range. Poor timing from Bronze.

Bronze shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bronze showed some decent athleticism there.
Bronze with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Fletcher is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bronze lands with a punch from half guard.
Grady Bronze overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bronze takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Bronze lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bronze looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fletcher with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Fletcher is breathing heavily.
Well, if Bronze is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Bronze drops an elbow to the side of Fletcher's head.

Fletcher is looking for a sweep. Bronze is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Bronze has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Bronze quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Bronze but it's paid off an Fletcher is forced to tap! Nice work by Bronze.
