Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jukka Pekka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McErlane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McErlane has chosen Demanufacture by FEAR FACTORY as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McErlane shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pekka's guard.
McErlane sitting in guard here, content to control.
McErlane wants to stand but Pekka has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McErlane is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Pekka wants to sweep here but McErlane controlling him for the moment.

McErlane decides to stand up, so the ref orders Pekka to his feet.
McErlane bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
McErlane misses with a low kick.
Pekka thuds his shin into the meat of McErlane's side.
McErlane misses with a jab, cross combination.
McErlane misses with a double jab.
Pekka shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McErlane but McErlane pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Pekka blocks a head kick by McErlane.

McErlane has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Pekka misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pekka scores with a takedown into McErlane's guard.

Pekka stands and steps away. McErlane gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Pekka moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
McErlane fails in his attempt to clinch.
Pekka tries to keep at a distance but McErlane has taken the fight into the clinch.

McErlane's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pekka avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pekka darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pekka seems to be working for a kimura but McErlane defends the submission attempt.
McErlane pushes Pekka off and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John McErlane will probably get the nod.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now McErlane is on top in guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The ground and pound from Pekka seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

McErlane can't do much from the bottom here.
Pekka has worked his way into a potential kimura here. McErlane is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Pekka yanks on the arm and McErlane is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Pekka.
