PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robert Svedberg (ranked 4157 p4p, 4329 weight class) and Magic Knockout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Robert Svedberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Magic Knockout!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Svedberg throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Knockout tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Svedberg is in Knockout's guard.

Horrible takedown attempt by Knockout or perhaps it was just good defense by Svedberg, which made it look bad.
Knockout tries to clinch but Svedberg is having none of it.

Svedberg throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Knockout stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Svedberg got a little sloppy there for a moment and Knockout has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Svedberg has managed to get both his arms back between Knockout's legs - danger averted.

Svedberg shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Knockout is trying to defend but Svedberg finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Svedberg looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Knockout with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Knockout uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Svedberg.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Svedberg manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Knockout manages to get himself to full guard.

Svedberg is taking a breather. Knockout says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Svedberg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
