Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Slim Thug (ranked 4382 p4p, 4083 weight class) and Gregor Frieberg (ranked 517 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frieberg fails with the takedown
and Thug counters with a left and a right that stings Frieberg.

Frieberg closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Thug quickly recovers to half guard.
Frieberg thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Thug looks like he's trying to stand up.
Frieberg thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thug's head.
Frieberg looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thug with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Frieberg is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Frieberg works his way into side control.

Thug has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Frieberg is on him like a limpet, forcing Thug back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Thug moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Slim Thug is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Frieberg takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Thug cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thug lands a nice shot that snaps Frieberg's head back.
Thug connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Thug slaps away a takedown attempt from Frieberg, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Slim Thug will probably get the nod.

As Frieberg looks to move away, Thug throws a big counter combo but Frieberg just gets out of the way.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thug comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Thug is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Frieberg can do to turn this around?
Thug stalks Frieberg and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Frieberg's face. Frieberg staggers backwards, shaken.
Frieberg is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Frieberg is still on wobbly legs! Can Thug finish him?
Thug is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Thug feints with a jab and clips Frieberg right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Frieberg is sent crashing into the canvas and Thug leaps in for the kill! Frieberg tries to get to his feet but Thug is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Frieberg is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Slim Thug!
