Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Allan John Villanil (ranked 2953 p4p, 4430 weight class) and Chris Taylor (ranked 166 p4p, 231 weight class). Allan John Villanil has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Allan John Villanil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villanil fails with the takedown.
Taylor wants to counter the offense by Villanil and move into the clinch position.
Taylor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Villanil throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Taylor's waist but Taylor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Villanil off to one side.
Villanil is looking to clinch.

Villanil is trying to pull guard but Taylor has him pressed against the cage.

Taylor postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Taylor is looking to take a break and control but Villanil is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Taylor cracks Villanil with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Villanil from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Taylor looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Villanil wants to control but Taylor passes into side.
Taylor cracks Villanil with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Taylor swings around for an armbar but Villanil sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Taylor's guard.

Villanil goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Taylor has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Villanil but great work by Taylor.
Chris Taylor has got the better of the ground game so far.

Taylor creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Villanil sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Villanil is not content to let Taylor control the position.

Taylor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Villanil keeps working.
Villanil tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Taylor wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Taylor is staying tight to Villanil's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Taylor is continuing to stall.
Villanil prevents Taylor from moving into mount.
Taylor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Villanil wants to control but Taylor postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Taylor darts in and clinches Villanil up against the cage.

Taylor jumps into guard, dragging Villanil to the mat.

Villanil has gone for a leg lock! Taylor slips out almost immediately though and dives into Villanil's guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Chris Taylor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Horrible takedown attempt by Villanil or perhaps it was just good defense by Taylor, which made it look bad.

Taylor slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Taylor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Taylor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Villanil defends it well.

Villanil is looking to control Taylor's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Villanil avoid being mounted?
Villanil keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Villanil tries to roll over but Taylor keeps him under control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Villanil has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Taylor is working away from the top position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Taylor throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Villanil shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Taylor defends it nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that's the end of the fight!
Chris Taylor comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Taylor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
