Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter lands the left hand.

Thai closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Thai tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carter was well out of range. Poor timing from Thai.

Thai displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carter throws out the jab.

A looping hook to the body misses from Carter. Thai does a little dance to reset his feet.

Thai looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Thai misses with a series of wild punches.

Carter lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Carter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Thai takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Thai scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Carter doesn't seem bothered though.

Carter darts in looking for a takedown but Thai gets double underhooks and turns Carter into the cage.
Thai appears to be looking for a big counter.
Taisto Thai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thai avoids a punch combination nicely.

A cross from Carter lands.
Thai tries to clinch there but Carter circles away.
A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target.
Thai throws a low kick but it's checked well by Carter.
Carter misses with a looping right.
Thai misses with a hook.
Thai uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carter.
Carter swats away the attempt to clinch by Thai.
Thai lands with a thumping leg kick.

Thai lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Thai is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carter takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Thai misses with a double jab
and Carter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Thai on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Carter looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Thai looks to land a body kick but Carter moved away.

Carter sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Thai tries to clinch but Carter is having none of it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Barry Carter will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Thai uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carter.
Carter punishes Thai's body with a nice straight punch.
Carter throws a lazy right hand but Thai sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thai quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Thai looks to land a combination but Carter avoids it well.
A little jabbing left from Carter on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Carter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thai tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Carter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Carter is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Thai with a body shot.
Carter jabs Thai right on the nose. Thai blinks but takes it well.

Carter misses with the head strike.

Carter has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Thai.

Thai gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Carter counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Thai is rocked!
Thai lands a head kick. Carter smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Barry Carter has been cut.
Thai misses with a leg kick.
The fighters circling - Carter throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Carter connects with a looping right hand.
Oh Thai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Carter is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Thai flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Thai is out cold! Carter holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

In his post fight interview, Barry Carter started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
