The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakkara tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sakkara throws the kick towards the body but Jackson avoids it.
Sakkara throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jackson.

Jackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Jackson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sloppy strikes there by Jackson.
Sakkara is trying to get back to his feet.

Jackson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Sakkara is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jackson is controlling him well.
